Man United brushes aside Bolten

Wayne Rooney scored his second successive hat-trick as rampant Manchester United stormed back to the top of the Premier League with a 5-0 harmering of Bolton just hours after Sergio Aguero's hatrick briefly lifted Manchester City into first place on Saturday.

United followed up its 8-2
thrashing of Arsenal with
another high-scoring display, as Hernandez netted the opener after just four minutes before Rooney added another two before halftime. He converted two crosses from Phil Jones in the first half and then sent home a Ryan Giggs pass after the break to take his
goal tally for the season to 8 goals in four games.“We’ve concentrated on our selves,” Rooney said. “We knew it was going to be a difficult game, we focused, made sure we got the win and thankfully the win was a bit easier than we thought.

The blistering distlay of United, which also included two goals from Mexican forward Javier Hernandez, means the champions have now scored 18 goals in their first four matches, a new Premier League record for this stage of the season that keeps them ahead of title rivals City on goal difference.
Rooney’s goal was his second straight hat trick in the league after also scoring three against Arsenal.

The only worry for United
manager Alex Ferguson was
more injury concerns, with Tom Cleverley limping off with a suspected foot fracture after a tough challenge from Bolton
captain Kevin Davies.
“We think it is a broken foot,” said Ferguson. “It is unfortunate. It is a bad one. It was a bad tackle. We endured that. We kept playing our football. That was the important thing.”

Carlos Tevez stripped of Man City captaincy

Carlos Tevez have been
permanently stripped of the
Manchester City captaincy by
manager Roberto Mancini.

The Argentine striker who spent the pre-season searching for a new club all in vain has been replaced as skipper by defender Vincent
Kompany.

The striker who was desperate to leave Eastlands over the summer, but saw a proposed move to Corinthians fall through and was left in England as the transfer window closed.

Tevez has made only one substitute appearance for City this season, replacing compatriot Sergio Kun Aguero in the 3-2 win at Bolton on 21 August.
Given the clear fact that Tevez wanted to leave, Mancini feels it would be in-appropriate to leave the hitman as club captain.
And the Italian has now opted to hand the captain's armband to Belgian defender Vincent Kompany instead.
Belgium international Kompany who joined City from Hamburg in 2008 and made 53 appearances in all competitions last season. He also won the supporters' Player of the Year award as well as the players' Player of the Year honour.
Mancini added that Tevez would still be a key part of the squad this season, as City make their first debut in the Champions League. He said: "He's a fantastic player for us, someone who can score 20 goals a season.
"I respected his opinion, but
Carlos is still here because we didn’t find a solution."
"I decided in the summer that Vinnie was the captain."

Hernandez saves mexico

Javier ''Chicharito'' Hernandez
was the saviour for mexico in their international friendly draw with Poland.
The mexicans were one goal down, whe when the innocent faced killer (Chicharito) converted an Andres Guardado corner kick in the 35th minute by settling the ball with his chest and then parking a short near the upright post to make it 1-1.
Hernandez strike took his goals to 22 in 30 appearances for his country.
Chicharito is slowing working his
way back into action, with two
appearances for Man U in EPL,
and before being called into action for the
national team.
Pawel Brozek gave Poland the
lead in the 27th minute after he
was set up by Adrian
Mierzejewski's precise pass, before Hernandez replied in the 35th minute.
Hernandez played only the first
half in his most extensive action since the CONCACAF Gold Cup, in which Mexico
defeated the United States in the
final, and in which he won both the best player of the tournament and the golden boot award, by scoring seven goals.
Then, while training with
Man U before the MLS All-Star
game, he was concussed.
He took a month off, before coming on as a subtitute in the United win against Tottenham.
Despite going a man up in the
70th minute -- Poland's Ludovic
Obraniak took a red card for
kicking an opponent -- Mexico
couldn't get the go-ahead goal to win the match.

El Tri now goes to Spain, where it
